Lithuanian-Latvian-Lithuanian Parallel Corpus
The goal of the paper is to present different problems related to the building of Parallel Corpus for two small languages, namely, Latvian and Lithuanian. The Lithuanian-Latvian-Lithuania Parallel Corpus (LILA) will contain 8 million running words; will be bidirectional, aligned on the sentence level. The problems include identifying, acquiring, preparing, and aligning parallel texts.
متن کاملA concept of fuzzy input mix-efficiency in fuzzy DEA and its application in banking sector
Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a linear programming based non-parametric technique for evaluating the relative efficiency of homogeneous decision making units (DMUs) on the basis of multiple inputs and multiple outputs. There exist radial and non-radial models in DEA. Radial models only deal with proportional changes of inputs/outputs and neglect the input/output slacks. On the other hand, ...
متن کاملBanking Efficiency in China: Application of DEA and Tobit Analysis
In this paper, Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and super efficient DEA (SE-DEA) are employed to measure the efficiency of Chinese commercial banks. Incorporating Tobit regression analysis, the determinants of banking efficiency are investigated based on Panel data. Overall, the DEA results show relatively low average efficiency levels and state-owned banks are more inefficient than that of join...
متن کاملCross-Country Evidence on Public Sector Retrenchment
This paper reports the results from a survey of public sector employment retrenchment episodes across a wide variety of developing and transition economies. The information collected and analyzed are from a myriad of sources but primarily from internal World Bank documents and in-depth interviews with World Bank staff with operational information about experiences in specific countries. Using t...
متن کاملSMT of Latvian, Lithuanian and Estonian Languages: a Comparative Study
This paper is an attempt to discover the main challenges in working with Baltic and Estonian languages, and to identify the most significant sources of errors generated by a SMT system trained on large-vocabulary parallel corpora from legislative domain. An immense distinction between Latvian/Lithuanian and Estonian languages causes a set of non-equivalent difficulties which we classify and com...
